STANDING WARM-UP DRILLS
Can Can

 

Purpose:

Loosen up the lower body

Steps:
  1. Stand with your feet close together.

  2. Lift one leg up and to the side, bending it as shown.

  3. Bring the leg back down into its neutral position.

  4. Lift the same leg up and bend it forward as shown.

  5. Bring the leg back down into its neutral position.

  6. When lifting your leg up, try to bring the knee as high as possible.

  7. Perform this exercise for 10 times with each leg.

Please consult your doctor before trying any of these stretches.
Beginner walkers may find them too stressful.
