STANDING WARM-UP DRILLS
Hurdle

 

Purpose:
Improve Hip Flexibility
Steps:
  1. Lean against a wall or tree.
  2. Swing leg up and around as if there was a hurdle to your side.
  3. Use someone's arm to act as the hurdle if someone is available.
  4. Range of motion is important on this one!
  5. Perform this exercise 10 times for each leg.

Please consult your doctor before trying any of these stretches.
Beginner walkers may find them too stressful.
