Warming Up Standing in Place While Walking Fun Stuff
|
HOW MUCH SHOULD I DRINK WHEN I WALK? Plenty. By the time that you feel thirsty it is already too late. It is important to drink before, during, and after your walking workout. It is not enough to drink only while working out. I try to drink water or a fluid replacement drink (either works fine, it is a matter of personal preference) periodically during the day, especially in the summer time. When going on a long walk, come prepared. Some walking areas may not have water readily accessible; carry a bottle in a "fanny pack". Although this may offend some, a method that I use to determine how dehydrated I am is by the color of my urine. Crystal clear usually means that you have drunk enough water, while stark yellow can mean that you are not drinking enough. Be careful, stark yellow urine may be a sign that you are taking too many vitamins. |
