We all remember being asked to touch our toes in gym class, but
what we didn't know it is not good to come straight down. Instead,
use a wall to lean against. Stand about 6 inches from the wall
facing away from it.
Now, lean back against
the wall, bend down and touch your toes. By moving 6 inches away
from the wall, you reduce the lower back strain and can help
prevent pulling your sciatic nerve.
